Bridges to Care launches in February at MPHD for uninsured residents of Davidson County. These patients are below 200% of Federal Poverty Level and ineligible for TennCare. Enrollment starts at Emergency Departments (EDs) of area hospitals, participating clinics, Department of Human Services, and MPHD. A Bridges to Care Pharmacy also opened in 2002 in addition to a partnership with Kroger for prescriptions. More than 41,000 Davidson County residents were enrolled in BTC in the first six years of the program. 83,000 prescriptions were filled by May 2005.
